Widow Sues Bangor, ME Over Parade Death

Wallace Fenlason owned a 1941 John Deere tractor and loved riding it in local parades. In 2013, he was riding it in Bangor's Fourth of July parade. It was struck by an antique fire struck that was being driven by firefighter employed by the city. Fenlason died instantly from his injuries.

In March 2015 Lorena Fenlason, his widow filed a lawsuit against Bangor, the parade organizer and Patrick Healthcote (the firefighter).

The suit alleges that the city was negligent because it did not "perform competent, reasonable and necessary" maintenance on the antique fire truck.

The Felason's were teenage sweethearts. They met at Maine roller skating rink. If Felason had lived, they would have celebrated their 45th wedding anniversary.
